As OCS celebrates its 30th anniversary, we reflect on the vision that launched the organization in 1995: to bring world-class choral artistry to Hawai‘i. Three decades later, OCS continues to fulfill that mission as the state’s only symphonic chorus, uniting singers from across the islands to perform major works and newly imagined programs that speak to our community.

All OCS self-presented concerts are offered free of charge, ensuring that anyone - keiki to kūpuna - may experience the power and beauty of live choral music. Thanks to the generosity of our supporters, our audiences have grown more diverse and more representative of the community we serve.
This anniversary season highlights both the artistic breadth and collaborative spirit that defines OCS, from early masterworks to contemporary compositions, from partnerships with local ensembles to performances with the Hawai‘i Symphony Orchestra.
